Dr. Mark Shamtsyan

Dr. Mark Shamtsyan is professor of St. Petersburg State Institute of Technology (Technical University), Russia. His scientific works are focused in the field of food biotechnology, food regulations and safety.
He is Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) ambassador to Russia, and Co-chair of GHI working group on mycotoxins, chairman of Russian Regional Section of European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) and EHEDG authorized trainer.
He is one of the founders of Black Sea regional association of Food Science and Technology (B-FoST) and its ExCo member.
Mark Shamtsyan is a member of the editorial boards of several international scientific food journals.
He is a fellow of International Academy of Food Science and Technology

Dr. Garabed Antranikian 

Garabed Antranikian currently is the director of the Institute of Technical Microbiology, Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). Garabed does research in Microbiology, biodiversity of extreme habitats especially thermophiles, metagenomics of unique environments and enzymology of extremophiles (Extremozymes). The aim of the research team is to develop sustainable bio based technologies (Bioeconomy) in collaboration with engineers, chemists and economists. The newly established center (Center for Biobased Solutions, CBBS) shall focus on biomass from aquatic environments. In an interdisciplinary manner efficient industrial processes will be developed aiming at the production of high value chemicals, polymers and other products for various industrial applications.
